Monica llego de Peru en 1998.
Es dueña de PERU ART AUSTRALIA, negocio de importaciones de Artesanias de Comercio justo, comprados directamente de los mejores y mas alejados artesanos. El objetivo de Peru Art Australia no es solo vender bellas artesanias de alta calidad, sino de ayudar a los artesanos y a sus comunidades, a preservar sus conocimientos y tradiciones, por medio de un ingreso decente. Monica viaja a los Andes en Peru, con frecuencia, para buscar nuevas artesanos y nuevos productos.
Monica estudia Antropología Social en la Universidad Macquarie en Sydney. En un futuro cercano, espera vivir en el Cusco con su esposo y trabajar con las comunidades Andinas para ayudarlos a ganar estabilidad financiera.
Perú Art Australia esta organizando “Talleres de Tejido en telar y teñido en los Andes”, donde los participantes disfrutaran diversos talleres artesanales y muchas aventuras fuera de las típicas rutas turísticas. Estos viajes son para grupos chicos y duraran 3 semanas.

Monica arrived from Peru in 1998.
She is the owner of PERU ART AUSTRALIA, a business importing Fair Trade Art & Crafts, purchased directly from some of Peru’s finest and most remote artisans. Peru Art Australia’s aim is to sell, not only beautiful and high quality handcrafts, but to help the artisans and their villages to preserve their knowledge and traditions, by making a sustainable income. Monica travels to the Andes in Peru regularly, to search for new artisans and new products.
She studies Social Anthropology at Macquarie University in Sydney. In the near future, she hopes to live in Cusco with her husband and work with the Andean communities to help them gain financial stability.
Peru Art Australia is organizing “Weaving and Dyeing Workshops in the Andes”, where participants will enjoy workshops and many out-of-the-typical tourist-trail adventures. These trips are for small groups and will last 3 weeks.
